BIRCH RUN, MI – When Zenos and Tammy Dupuis opened Charlie and the Coffee Factory this summer at Birch Run Premium Outlets, they “wanted to make it a fun place” for customers of all ages.
“My wife and I built this cafe for a reason: for families with children,” said Zenos Dupuis.
Zenos Dupuis said he had taken his 8-year-old son Charlie Dupuis with him to cafes in the past, but the mood was never quite right. This is how the idea of Charlie and the Coffee Factory was born.
“Everyone seems to like the name and then when you meet Charlie it fits the bill,” said Zenos Dupuis.
Charlie and the Coffee Factory, located near the Nike Factory Store at Birch Run Premium Outlets, 12158 S. Beyer Road, serves coffee from Swartz Creek’s Fireside Coffee Co., espresso drinks, smoothies, and smoothies, and prepared sandwiches. made to order, burgers, fries, salads, soups and more.
